Who should be a Member?  You should!

Our membership consists of businesses and individuals who are Developers, Builders, Renovators, Sub-Contractors, Suppliers, Service Professionals, Media, Financial Organizations, and Government Agencies.  We encourage all individuals, businesses, or organizations who participate directly or indirectly in home building and renovating in Prince George and area to be members.  

Why join an association?

Being a member of a professional or trade association is an important way businesses can make sense of the legislative environment. Whether the group represents concerns specific to your industry (or profession) or takes a broader focus, the investment of joining an association is one worth considering.

One of the clearest benefits of association membership is advocacy – strength in numbers. By representing the business and professionals in a given industry or trade, associations are able to approach government at all three levels with a strong, united voice. The insights and involvement of association members is a valuable resource and research tool in the development of sound public policy. An association is truly a window on ones’ industry that exists nowhere else. It’s amazing to see the diversity of personalities, talent and ideas—that come together to make up an association. 

Business Networking Opportunities

We host 10 dinner meetings (September to June) featuring guest speakers, it’s a great way to rub elbows with other member businesses and discuss what’s happening in our industry... Whenever and wherever they meet, associations represent sharing of information, ideas and knowledge. National conferences are also held on an annual basis.

CHBA BC are now offering online training for your convenience, check out their website for a list of the courses available.

Customer Recognition

Consumers care that you are a part of a professional organization.  Being a member shows your outstanding commitment to quality, service and stewardship in our community.  We provide you with promotional materials to identify your business as being a member.

Advertising Opportunities

There are a number of ways you can gain valuable advertising opportunities with us.  Some ways you can benefit are: participating in the CHBA Northern BC Home Show to showcase your business to thousands of consumers, advertising on our website at www.chbanorthernbc.ca, or entering in the Northern BC Housing Awards.  Call us for other opportunities!

Industry Representation

We host a monthly Builder’s Liaison meeting with Building Officials from the City of Prince George and Regional District.  This meeting allows participants to discuss relevant issues and developments with the City’s Officials and other builders/suppliers 

What’s the cost?

One fee for representation at all three levels, Local, Provincial, & National Our fiscal year starts the 1st of July and ends June 30th each year. Membership Dues are only $1025.00 plus HST annually (ask us about our quarterly plan – finance charge applies).  Membership dues can be subject to change periodically
